DALLAS (Dec. 6, 2018) – Onyx CenterSource, a leading provider of B2B payments and business intelligence solutions to the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that its chief information officer, Steve Reynolds, has been named a finalist for the 2019 Dallas CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards by the Dallas CIO Leadership Association.
The prestigious award honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership based on innovation, strategic leadership, business value creation and community involvement.
Reynolds, who joined Onyx in 2017, has a 20-plus year record of aligning people, processes and technology to deliver results for companies ranging from startups to global market leaders in diverse industries. Onyx CenterSource CEO Mark Dubrow said Steve’s role has been crucial for the company as it continues its global growth within the hospitality industry.

As CIO of Onyx, Reynolds has complete oversight of the company’s global technology organization that includes more than 70 staff members globally. His strategic business decisions have supported the company’s growth and provided the scalability and agility for it to operate more efficiently and to deliver new, innovative product offerings to the hospitality space.
Reynolds, who serves his community through food bank, community development and disaster relief volunteer efforts, is also a CIO subject matter expert for Tech Qualled LLC, which works to enhance the lives of military veterans by training and placing them in rewarding high technology careers. In addition, he is a mentor for American Corporate Partners, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in their transition from the armed services to the civilian workforce.
Reynolds earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Jack Welch Management Institute of Chancellor University, Cleveland.
Reynolds is a finalist in the corporate category. Winners will be announced Feb. 22, 2019.
