OnyxInsights data shows commission values increased year over year average days to pay declined in every region
DALLAS, TX – November 2, 2026 – Onyx CenterSource, a leading global provider of B2B payments and business intelligence for the hospitality industry, today announced the release of the Q3 2026 Onyx Quarterly Check-In Report. Powered by OnyxInsights, the report gives hotels and travel agencies a clear benchmark for commission performance and payment behavior across global and regional markets.
The report draws on commission payment data from Onyx hotel customers. It tracks commissionable average daily rate (ADR), average commission per room night, yield, unpaid commissionable room nights, average days to payment and GDS agency commission share. The Q3 report reflects transactions with check-out dates from July through September 2026.
Globally, commissionable ADR reached $234, and average commission per room night came in at $23.90. Commissionable yield, the share of room revenue paid as commission, stood at 9.5%. Hotels paid commissions an average of 41 days after the guest stay, while 8.3% of commissionable room nights remained unpaid. GDS agency commission share stood at 15.0%.
“The Q3 results show how commission performance can move differently across regions,” said Akshath Dhar, Senior Director of Business Data Analytics at Onyx CenterSource. “We saw stronger commission values and faster payment timing across markets, alongside higher pending volumes in several regions. Looking at these measures together helps our customers benchmark performance and identify where closer attention may be needed.”
Asia Pacific (APAC) delivered broad commercial gains. Commissionable ADR rose 5.1% year over year to $239, and average commission per room night increased 2.2% to $23.04. Average days to pay improved 2.2% to 49 days, while the share of commissionable room nights pending payment rose to 16.7%.
North America led all regions in payment speed. Average days to pay fell 7.2% year over year to 37 days, and pending commissionable room nights declined to 3.2%. Although commissionable ADR decreased 3.4% to $210, higher commissionable yield helped lift average commission per room night 6.2% to $21.47.
Oceania recorded the strongest rate growth, with commissionable ADR climbing 8.1% year over year to $169. Average commission per room night rose 6.2% to $16.88, while average days to pay improved 4.0% to 46 days. The pending room night ratio rose to 11.3%, pointing to continued opportunities to strengthen commission processing.
In Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), commissionable ADR rose 1.2% year over year to $314, the highest of any region. Average commission per room night increased 3.8% to $31.97. Average days to pay improved 3.7% to 44 days, while 10.2% of commissionable room nights remained unpaid.
